Ear Cuff Style
If there was one huge, major, and universal trend we’ve seen throughout the entire red carpet season, starting all the way back into last year, I’d have to say it’s the ear cuff style. There’s nothing largely new about the piece, since we have seen it in several forms on and off for awhile now, but this time it’s gone main stream donning the ears of the Hollywood elite, and making it’s own statement worn with edgy, casual looks to the more gorgeous, ethereal gowns we saw this past Awards season.
Staking it’s claim as a major “of the moment” accessory, the ear cuff has also obviously proved its versatility. So what’s a bride to do? Can we see the ear cuff becoming a mainstay in the bridal fashion world or is it just a trend? The answer is probably buried somewhere in between the two, but the key for more classic fashionistas is the ability to wear the ear cuff style and making the jewels look like they are simply floating rather than wearing a large, bulky piece.

Take Keira Knightly who wore a stunning cuff to the SAG awards and paired it with a very elegant and feminine gown. The look could translate perfectly to bridal and can give those fashion-forward brides yet one more option when it comes to wedding accessories.

And although the ear cuff seems very trendy, the look really lends itself to Old-Hollywood costume earrings with their statement-like quality and sometimes feathery look on the ear. They manage to stand out yet look completely delicate at the same time. And the best part? Everyone from the most high-end jewelers to Etsy and Forever21 are showing them this season- making them ultra luxe or super affordable. Either way, the options are pretty great.
For those Brides on the fence? The look is perfect to be paired with a short white mini-dress for a rehearsal dinner or even a sophisticated white suit. For bachelorette parties and showers or pre-wedding soirees, don’t forget to switch up your look and infuse a little bit of fun and interest to each look. The ear cuff just might be the perfect ticket!
