Favor Boxes as table décor: We’ve seen this approach more traditionally around the holidays, when presents are abound and perfectly wrapped boxes can be seen everywhere from under the tree to the front porch. But when it comes to bridal showers, we like the idea of form meets function. Wrapping the favors in same size ( of varying sizes) of boxes with coordinating papers is the perfect way to fill your table and add a sentiment of fun and celebration without breaking the bank. And with the unending variety of specialty wrapping papers available, from chevrons, to stripes, and metallics of every kind, you can really carry through your day’s color scheme quite easily. Our favorite vibe? Go for a one-color monochromatic scheme and add a punch of color with fancy ribbons on each box. Or go all out bold and elegant with black and white striped everything! The boxes will be too beautiful to open!

Message on a bottle: Wine bottles as décor really caught on a few years ago when we saw many brides mimicking the laid back elegance of Napa Valley nuptuals by numbering wine bottles to signify table seating for their guests. Now, the whole wine craze has taken on a new task: the entire menu! And with custom labels so readily available, the job is about as easy as can be! Or maybe only as easy as getting those pesky labels off in the first place. We like this look on long, farm style tables with a few bottles spread between every 4 seats or so. It echoes a sense of sharing and communal eating that is perfect for bringing people together at weddings.

Mix tapes are back! We can play music on our phones with the stroke of a finger, but some of us still long to pop in a mix CD that reminds us of our college days every once in awhile. Sadly for those of us above the age of 25, the mix CD is really beginning to look like a throwback and a mark of nostalgia. Perfect for couples who maybe met in the last 10 years, the mix CD is a sweet and romantic ode to the couple’s favorite music and possibly the songs that truly hold a special place in their hearts. The cool paper CD cases are just another great way to package them for your guests and carry out your wedding theme at the same time.

A Touch of Gold: We have been seeing this trend for awhile now. Wedding décor accents literally dipped in gold- vases, mason jars, even paper halfway “dipped” in gold paint or cleverly spray painted to mimic dipping. Since metallics have really become a new neutral with lots of couples even mixing silver and gold or trying new looks like gold flatware on tables, we think this new trend opens up the door for lots of metallic accents sprinkled throughout your wedding day without committing to an all over gold or silver theme. It adds a slight romanticism to your palette and also can take a traditional look to a new level of modern. With this pin, we love the DIY accessibility and the idea of using wine bottles as candle holders. No one would ever see these as used bottles since they have been completely redone in a stunning and formal gold color. The idea of multiple bottles adds to the monochromatic vibe which makes the look even more of a statement. Thrifty and super chic!

Groomsmen gifts: As much as us Brides struggles on what to give your besties, we can only imagine how hard it is for guys ( most of who hate to shop!) to come up with a cool, practical and also sentimental gift for his best guys. These monogrammed leather dopp kits are the perfect solution. They are timeless, classic, and commemorates the occasion with a monogram that is personal and totally functional.

Aisle Photos:  This idea is an absolute new favorite for personalizing your wedding ceremony. It’s almost like a movie montage of you and your Groom’s lives happening as you walk down the aisle. Fixing photos of both of you from childhood to present day not only is an adorable way to incorporate and carry through a photo theme on your big day, but it also literally represents your journey. It’s adorable and perfectly acknowledges the reason you are there and can be a great way to keep your guests involved. People love a good photo collection!

Glassware + Greenery: As soon as we saw this table, we knew we’d be seeing it at an upcoming celebration.  It’s just too pretty not to recreate!  The simple yet stunning vibe of this tablescape can be attributed to two major pieces, glassware and greenery.  If you look at photo, there isn’t much else there.  A combination of vases and different shaped glasses mixed with moss and mismatched ferns create a nice balance at a likely elegant event. And don’t even get us started on the cloches; they are gorgeous!  Even if this doesn’t fit for your wedding day, we could see this as a gorgeous holiday table, easy to recreate in almost any location or climate.  Who knew a stunning table was as easy as glass and greenery?

Dia de Muertos Inspired Invite: With October drawing to a close, we are gearing up for several fun and festive celebrations, including Dia de Muertos, the famous and much celebrated Mexican holiday that remembers friends and family who have died.  We pinned this Dia de Muertos inspired invitation, loving its boldness and quirk, as well as its nod to an important cultural event.  It may not be everyone’s cup of wedding tea, but we love to see couples take risks and make their day uniquely theirs!

Perfect Fall Bouquet: When we’re searching for wedding bouquet inspiration on Pinterest, we often come across stunning bouquets.  Many are full of bright pops of color and bold florals, perfect the bride wanting to pack a floral punch.  We often also see some gorgeous neutral bouquets, made up of white and cream florals with touches of greenery.  However, it’s often hard to find bouquets that fall between the two, keeping a neutral base with just the right amount of spark and spunk.  So when we pinned this bouquet, we noted how wonderfully it seems to balance a neutral palette with a splash of personality.  We love the mix of texture, depth, and color, making this a delightful choice for a fall bouquet.

Mason Jar InvitesEtsy has quickly become one of our favorite wedding resources.  Not only does it showcase great handmade products, but it also allows couples the chance to connect with beautiful artists all over the world.  Wedding invitations are one of our favorite things to browse on Etsy, and these beauties caught our eye this week.  They set the tone for an elegant and classic wedding, with touches of rustic simplicity.  Both the color and font create a relaxed, yet special feel, preparing guests for a one-of-a-kind celebration.  If you’re looking for that extra special touch when it comes to your invitations, may we suggest Etsy as delightful resource.

DIY Silk Hairpin.  Do it yourself projects have been taking the blog world by storm lately, with more and more people embracing their inner artist and giving handmade creations a chance.  DIY in the wedding world is of course a longtime favorite, but with easy-to-follow tutorials and great resources, they’re becoming easier than ever.  This silk hairpin tutorial is a simple project, perfect for the bride who wants to add an extra something to her wedding day hair.  This would be perfect with an updo or loose curls, and may also be something to make for bridesmaids on the big day.

Flower Tray Centerpiece. As winter continues to wrap most of the country, we can’t help but look forward to spring and the warmth it brings.  (It’s probably not a coincidence that most of our recent pins involve bright sunlight, glorious florals, and grassy outdoor spaces!)  So of course, we loved this simple yet cheerful wedding centerpiece, made easy with classic florals and a wooden tray.  This could also be recreated with wooden drawers, mismatched in size and color.  This pin is proof centerpieces don’t need to be over-the-top to make a statement!
