A Touch of Gold: We have been seeing this trend for awhile now. Wedding décor accents literally dipped in gold- vases, mason jars, even paper halfway “dipped” in gold paint or cleverly spray painted to mimic dipping. Since metallics have really become a new neutral with lots of couples even mixing silver and gold or trying new looks like gold flatware on tables, we think this new trend opens up the door for lots of metallic accents sprinkled throughout your wedding day without committing to an all over gold or silver theme. It adds a slight romanticism to your palette and also can take a traditional look to a new level of modern. With this pin, we love the DIY accessibility and the idea of using wine bottles as candle holders. No one would ever see these as used bottles since they have been completely redone in a stunning and formal gold color. The idea of multiple bottles adds to the monochromatic vibe which makes the look even more of a statement. Thrifty and super chic!

Groomsmen gifts: As much as us Brides struggles on what to give your besties, we can only imagine how hard it is for guys ( most of who hate to shop!) to come up with a cool, practical and also sentimental gift for his best guys. These monogrammed leather dopp kits are the perfect solution. They are timeless, classic, and commemorates the occasion with a monogram that is personal and totally functional.

Aisle Photos:  This idea is an absolute new favorite for personalizing your wedding ceremony. It’s almost like a movie montage of you and your Groom’s lives happening as you walk down the aisle. Fixing photos of both of you from childhood to present day not only is an adorable way to incorporate and carry through a photo theme on your big day, but it also literally represents your journey. It’s adorable and perfectly acknowledges the reason you are there and can be a great way to keep your guests involved. People love a good photo collection!

Teacup Floral: With summer gone and fall in full swing, we are loving the slight switch up of florals.  We’re waving goodbye to the super bright and pigmented and saying hello to moody hues, layered pieces, and more organic shapes.  This wedding DIY teacup arrangement looks cool without being overly quirky.  The similarity of the shape of the teacups and the simple, classic color combos help create a streamlined look.  This arrangement is also heavy on greenery, which we totally dig for fall.

Gatsby-esque Invites: We hate to admit it, but we missed one of the year’s biggest blockbusters in theaters.  (Thankfully, The Great Gatsby is now out on DVD, so we plan to catch it soon!)  Nonetheless, we fell in love with the decadent and over the top style of the film, which of course has translated beautifully for weddings.  This awesome wedding invitation caught our eye, as we love the subtle yet statement making lines and classic colors.  The font is both playful and overstated, giving a fair nod to the Jazz Age and all it’s greatness.  Now if we could just get Leonardo Dicaprio to be our groom…

Team Toppers: Football season is in full swing, which means our weekends are consumed by only two things: weddings and football.  (Not a bad combo if you ask us!)  It only makes sense for people to find fun ways to infuse their sports team love into their real-life love, and these cake toppers are certainly a fun way to do so.  They celebrate team spirit, while still holding onto a sweet vintage vibe.  The only question is, what team are you rooting for?

Splatter Watercolor Invitations.  When we first saw this image on Pinterest, it was no more than a two by two square, but even then, we knew it was something special.  And even though the DIY tutorial was technically about how to make a floral party hat (which could be a whole other wedding idea in itself), we fell in love with the idea of translating this splatter watercolor concept into a wedding invitation.  The refined yet colorful technique creates a hint of whimsy, perfect for a fun and festive invitation.  So break out the watercolors, we’re ready to get splattering!

Personalized Cake Stand.  We’ve never been shy about our love for cakes, and to prove it, we’ve got a whole pinboard dedicated to the classic wedding dessert.  So it’s only normal that when we saw this personalized cake stand, we were head over heels in love.  From the pale and lovely color to the sweet, scalloped trim, it is the perfect accessory to make your wedding cake sing.  And the countless options for personalization make this beauty a no-brainer!

Simple Wreaths.  With the holidays “just around the corner,” wintertime wedding DIY projects are popping up all over Pinterest.  And although many of these projects will no doubt be lovely in December, we love stretching many of them to fit the entire year.  These simple wreaths are the perfect example.  Their simple yet elegant look would be perfect hanging from the windows, the ceiling, or a ceremony backdrop.

Neon, Neon, Neon: We’ve already said it this spring, but we cannot get enough of neon!  The bright colors just scream warm weather, and they add the right amount of fun and whimsy without sacrificing style.  We love this tablescape, because the neon isn’t in the floral like usual; the neon is in the dishes, flatware, and table linens.  The floral is simple and sweet, letting the neon shine on it’s own.  And for the DIY couple, this one tablescape if perfect, as you can fine ceramic paint at most craft stores.  Combine that with some wholesale or thrifted dishes, and you’ve got set up in the bag!

Floral Tiara: If you’ve always wanted to be a Disney princess, but aren’t quite sure you could pull of a rhinestone tiara, this pin is for you.  This tiara is almost 100% floral, and we are loving it!  Though we’ve seen floral wreaths and headbands, this piece has a bit more of a dramatic flair, perfect for the bride wanting to make a statement in a unique and special way.

Home Is Who You Share It With: We know wedding planning can be stressful, but at the end of the day, you and your significant other are planning a new life together, and this pin is the perfect reminder.  No matter what happens, where you go, or what you encounter, don’t forget that the most important thing about home…is who you share it with.

Lace Covered Cake Table.  We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again…we love cake!  We love the color and focal point it can provide a space, and of course, we love the taste.  But what we love about this pin, outside of the fabulous height and gorgeous texture of the cake, is the lace covered cake table.  It is beautiful!  We love that this couple has taken the extra step and given their cake a beautiful backdrop to sit on. The cream and white color keep the linens from taking all the focus, and the texture of the lace gives just the right amount of depth and detail.  Wanting to recreate this look?  Check vintage scores and flea markets for vintage lace, without the hefty price.

DIY Burlap Boutonniere.  This burlap boutonniere might be one of our most favorite pins ever!  Floral can take up such a huge piece of the budget, so we always love creative ways to cut back on the monetary impact on bouquets and boutonnieres.   The burlap brings in an element of nature, and the feathers mimic the lightness of flowers.  The buttons add just the right about of detail to finish the look off.  You can find an easy tutorial Green Wedding Shoes, so head over and get your DIY on!

Super Stylish Couple.  We stumbled across this pin this week, and couldn’t help but gasp out loud.  This couple defines chic, particularly because they have found a great way to blend style, personality, and a bit of whimsy.  The bride’s funky necklace, paired with a delicate blusher is a match made in heaven.  The groom’s dapper hat and bowtie looks hip without a bit of stuffiness.  After some digging, we found out that these two are Mat and Annie, and you can see more of their wedding here.
